What exactly is TECA?

TECA is a high-purity active extracted from Centella Asiatica (Cica), isolating only its most effective components. Compared to regular Centella extract, TECA offers enhanced soothing benefits and helps strengthen the skin barrier, calming irritated skin while delivering hydration.

The ampoule has a slightly unusual scent. Is it safe to use?

Yes, it's completely safe! This product contains a high concentration of TECA and does not include artificial fragrance. As a result, you may notice the natural scent of the raw ingredient. This is normal and does not affect product performance or safety.

The color or scent seems to have changed slightly over time. Can I still use it?

Due to the high concentration of active ingredients, slight changes in color or scent may occur over time. This is a natural characteristic of high-potency formulations and does not indicate product spoilage. For best quality, store in a cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. We recommend using the product within 12 months after opening (24 months unopened).

I noticed white residue around the bottle opening. Is this normal?

This serum contains a high concentration of niacinamide. When exposed to air or when moisture evaporates, some crystallization may occur, appearing as white residue. This is a normal phenomenon in high-strength formulas. Simply wipe the opening after use to keep it clean.

The clear serum looks slightly different in color than when I first opened it. Is that normal?

Yes! Minor color changes may occur depending on storage conditions or interaction with air, but this does not affect the efficacy of the product. For best freshness, use within 12 months after opening (24 months unopened) and store away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Can I use this with vitamin C or other active skincare products?

Because this serum contains a high level of niacinamide, using it together with other strong actives (such as vitamin C) may cause temporary tingling or mild irritation, depending on your skin condition. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend alternating usage or adjusting frequency based on your skin’s tolerance.

I feel slight tingling when I use it for the first time. Is that normal?

Retinal is highly effective for improving skin elasticity but may require an adjustment period. We recommend starting with a small amount 2–3 times per week, then gradually increasing to nightly use as your skin adapts.

Why should this product only be used at night, and why is sunscreen necessary in the morning?

Retinal is sensitive to light and heat, and it may temporarily increase skin sensitivity to sunlight. Use this product only at night, and apply sunscreen the following morning to protect your skin.

Can pregnant or breastfeeding women use this product?

We do not recommend use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. This product contains retinal, and during these periods the skin can be more sensitive due to hormonal changes. Please use after pregnancy and breastfeeding are completed.

No. This product contains no artificial fragrance. The scent comes from retinal itself and may resemble a slightly bitter herbal note, metallic vitamin scent, or grain-like aroma. This is a natural characteristic of high-performance active ingredients and does not indicate a defect.
